Solid Waste Collection
Beginning July 1, 2016 Athens Services will provide solid waste collection service to the western side of the City. The eastern side of the City will be served by Republic Services.
Zone 1 Customers (East Zone) - These customers are currently served by Republic Services and will be billed by Republic Services
Zone 2 Customers - These customers were formerly serviced by Waste Management. Republic will be your new service provider and will bill directly.
Zone 3 Customers (West Zone) - These customers were formerly served by the City for trash and CDS/Republic for recycling and green waste. Athens Services is your new service provider for all three carts (black, blue & green). The City will continue to bill on behalf of Athens.
City generated trash bills for service provided by Athens can be paid via U.S. mail, dropped in the white drop-off box in the Main Library parking lot off Mar Vista Street, paid in person at City Hall, or online. We accept payment by cash, check, debit or credit cards (Visa, Master Card or Discover) if you pay in person. City of Whittier Customer Service Division can answer questions regarding your bill for Athens trash service at (562) 567-9530. Questions regarding Athens trash service should be made directly to Athens.
