Public Comment Options:

For regular scheduled meetings, please submit email and voicemail public comments by 5:00 p.m. on the date of the meeting to ensure City Council and Planning Commission members receive and have time to review them. All emails and voicemails received by 5:00 p.m. are forwarded to City Council Members and Commissioners for them to review. For special meetings, please review the agenda for deadlines for submitting public comments. 

Americans with Disabilities Act

Disability-related services are available to enable persons with a disability to participate in this meeting, consistent with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Spanish interpreters are also available. For information or to request services, please contact the City Clerk at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting at (562) 567-9850. On February 28, 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-22, which implements a procedure for receiving and resolving reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities for Brown Act meetings.

Televised Meeting Recordings

The City broadcasts and records the City Council and Planning Commission Meetings.  These meetings are broadcast on local television Channel 3 for residents using Frontier Communications or Charter/Spectrum. The broadcast is also streamed online.  Recordings of televised meetings are also available in our Agendas and Minutes Online by clicking on the video link next to City Council or Planning Commission meetings.

On March 12, 2020, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order No. N-25-20, which allows Brown Act Body members to attend meetings telephonically. Please be advised that some, or all, Whittier Art in Public Places Advisory Committee Members may attend this meeting telephonically.  Consistent with mandates of Executive Order No. N-29-20, a physical location from which members of the public may observe the meeting or offer public comment will not be made availabPlease submit email comments by 3:30 p.m. on the date of the meeting to ensure Members receive and have time to review them.  All emails received by 3:30 p.m. are forwarded to the Committee. Emails received after 3:30 p.m. but before the conclusion of public comments will be entered into the record.le. City Hall will not be open to the public for this meeting; however public comments and viewing options are provided below.
