Whether you're a die-hard zinester or just curious about zines, celebrate International Zine Month with us! 🌍✨
What is a zine? 🤔 Zines — pronounced "zeens" — are small-batch, DIY publications that cover various topics in all shapes, sizes, and formats. They can be written, drawn, photographed, collaged, or any other creative mix of words and imagery. 📚🎨📸
🖼️ Kicking things off with a screen printing workshop through @latinxwithplants underneath the blue canopies outside the community room at 11:00 AM.
✂️ Learn about zine culture and make your own zine during our zine-making workshop featuring local zinester Erwin "@_losojos_" Recinos at 12:30 PM in our MakerSpace.
🎨 Local zinesters will be tabling in the community room from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, so make sure you drop in to chat, trade, and view zines from local vendors.
✏️Space in workshops is limited. Visit the Central Adult Reference Desk to reserve your spot, or call us at (562) 567-9900.
