Local filmmaker William Ohanesian presents his documentary "Turnbull Canyon: A Road Unwound" for a special 45 min. preview screening.
This is the first documentary to seriously examine the legendary local canyon that joins uptown Whittier to Hacienda Heights. The film explores the canyon’s history as home to native tribal peoples, its scenic splendors, its popularity as a recreational destination - against its storied notoriety.
Critically, the film allows the residents, visitors, recreationalists, historians, law enforcement and local artists to speak of the canyon as they have experienced it.
After the film will be a Q&A session with the Director taking questions. As the film is a work-in-progress, this a rare opportunity for an audience to offer their thoughts and reactions toward shaping the final edit.
Tickets available at both libraries.
