The Whittier Redevelopment Agency (WRA) was formed by the Whittier City Council on September 9, 1971, by Ordinance 1939. The WRA dissolved pursuant to AB X1 26, effective February 1, 2012. The City of Whittier formed the Whittier Redevelopment Successor Agency on September 13, 2011, by City Resolution 8410 and assumed the assets of the WRA as of February 1, 2012.
