Character Defining Features

  • Spanish Colonial RevivalOne or two stories;
  • Asymmetrical façade sometimes with a tower element;
  • Tile roof;
  • Terra cotta tile vents;
  • Side or cross-gabled, occasionally hipped, low pitched roofs. Flat roofs are also seen;
  • Smooth plaster or stucco wall cladding;
  • Arched windows and doors;
  • Spanish Colonial RevivalArcaded exterior corridors;
  • Small balconies;
  • Wood or steel sash windows, typically casement windows;
  • Ornamental wrought iron is not uncommon; and,
  • Decorative ceramic tiles are not uncommon.
